We're working with a brilliant corporate communications agency that is looking for an experienced Sustainability Strategy and Reporting Consultant / Senior Account Director to join their skilled team. It's an advisory role in sustainability strategy, whilst also leading with clients and internal teams on the delivery of ESG and integrated reporting, and working with internal creative teams to deliver communications around this. The role requires someone who already has exposure to each area and who is adaptable and excited about a varied role where you can carve your career path whilst developing deep partnerships with global clients.
Responsibilities
- In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with clients to guide them through the evolving sustainability landscape.
- You'll need to have a deep knowledge of the latest regulation with CSRD and ISSB and have tangible experience of all areas of reporting production from content to data management.
- You'll provide clear, strategic counsel to a variety of clients, helping them align their sustainability disclosures with regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations.
- You'll work with the wider agency team including the Creative Department on the delivery of best in class Reports and supporting communications.
- You should be comfortable planning communications around the release of reports or clients' sustainability / ESG initiatives.
- Stay up to date with the latest reporting management tools such as Workiva.
- Enjoy leading with clients and building consultative relationships as well as leading with internal teams and mentoring or managing more junior team members.
- Be involved in proposals and presenting to new prospect clients.
Key experience
- Have a proven track record of leading both client facing and internal teams to deliver high-quality reports and compelling supporting communication.
- Possess deep expertise in global reporting frameworks and standards, including ESRS, CSRD, NFRD, GRI, IFRS and ESG reporting indices.
- Experienced in conducting sustainability materiality assessments and managing stakeholders.
- Offer strategic guidance on ESG narratives that will run through reporting and marketing campaigns and communication planning.
- Have a background in collaborating with creative teams to shape and produce sustainability related reports and content.
- Feel confident engaging with senior executives, including facilitating interviews and leading workshops.
- Be skilled at spotting, developing and securing new business / growth opportunities, including leading client presentations and pitch meetings.
- Have knowledge of corporate communications and the production of these, including digital formats.
