Hybrid London, 2+ days / week in the office, + potential travel outside of London

We're looking for an experienced Retail Production Project Manager to join a leading integrated creative and production agency, delivering retail 2D print and 3D POS for some of the world's best known beauty, haircare and retail brands.

This is a hands-on production role, taking ownership of delivery from the moment a project leaves the studio through to final execution. The work is roughly an even split of 2D print and 3D POS, so you'll manage everything from in-store posters, booklets, window graphics, stickers and leaflets through to shippers, counter units, shelf displays and FSDUs. Projects range from fast-turnaround print jobs to larger POS campaigns that can run for several months, and they're delivered into everything from salons and premium retailers to major supermarkets and wholesalers.

You'll work closely with the Account Management team, who manage the client relationship, and with the design and artwork studio, so you can focus on what you do best: production, suppliers, costs, timelines and getting the work delivered properly and to the best possible standard.

What you'll do:

  • Manage retail 2D print and 3D POS projects from production brief through to final delivery
  • Work with the studio on cutters, artwork and specifications to make sure designs are practical to produce
  • Work with and manage a broad network of print and production suppliers
  • Manage costs, estimates, schedules and supplier negotiations to deliver projects efficiently
  • Monitor production timelines and proactively resolve anything that could affect delivery
  • Visit suppliers where required to QC production, oversee testing and check physical units work as intended
  • Keep Account Management updated with accurate project information so client expectations are managed well
  • Manage project administration including timesheets, invoicing, procurement systems and general housekeeping
  • Run multiple projects concurrently, often 10+ at any one time, to the required quality, cost and deadline
  • Look for ways to improve processes, reduce costs and increase efficiency

What we're looking for:

  • Strong hands-on production or project management experience within an agency, manufacturing or production environment
  • Solid experience across both 2D print and 3D POS / FSDUs etc.
  • Confidence managing suppliers, negotiating costs and coordinating production schedules
  • A strong understanding of the practicalities of getting physical creative produced
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and project management skills
  • Commercial awareness, with a good understanding of costs, margins and budgets
  • Strong attention to detail and a real focus on quality
  • A confident, collaborative communicator who enjoys working with Account Management, studio and production teams
  • Someone proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong Excel / MS Office and Google Suite skills
  • 3D cardboard POS, FSDUs, shippers or retail display units
  • Print production knowledge and colour management
  • Working with major print production suppliers
  • Visiting suppliers to manage QC, testing or production sign-off
  • Experience within beauty, haircare, FMCG or consumer brands
  • Physical semi-permanent POS from initial concept through to final production
