Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified and motivated Physician Associate (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team. This full-time role focuses on managing dermatology referrals and urgent skin excisions, communicating important clinical findings to patientsand ensuring high-quality referral letters. You willplay a key role in ensuring clinical clarity and timely follow-up for our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate abnormal skin findingsincluding suspected skin cancers, to patients in a clear, compassionate, and clinically appropriate manner.
- Prioritisation and management of urgent and routine skin referrals, ensuring high-quality referral letters with accurate clinical information.
- Provide clinical context and guidance to patients\’regardingreferrals and follow-up.
- Ensure all patient communications are accurately documented in the medical records.
- Work directly under supervision from the Regional Derma Lead and withinour HQ Dermatology team to ensure quality and safety within our skin pathways.
- Appropriate clinical escalation and contribution to the timely resolution of member concerns and urgent findings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- PG Dip in Physician Associate Studies from a UK training programme with successful completion of the UK National Physician Associate Examination.
- Registered with the PA Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR) and GMC registered with a licence to practice in the UK.
- 12 months post-qualification experience with experience or an interest in dermatology desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to CPD and professional development.
- Familiarity with digital health platforms and remote patient communications.
