Neko Health is a Swedish healthcare technology company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Design Manager to oversee and manage the design process across various construction projects. This role involves coordinating with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure design excellence from concept through to project completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design development, facilitating communication across stakeholders, and ensuring that designs align with project objectives and Neko Health’s wider goals.
Responsibilities:
- Honor and fulfil Neko brand's experience principles
- Develop Testfits, Layouts and Interior Design
- Collaborate with Project Managers
- Source and Train Design Consultants
- Review Basebuild Design Information
- Develop Building Briefs and Programming
- Lead Design Handoff to Consultants and General Contractors
- Review Tender Returns from a Design Standpoint
- Review Drawing Sets
- Attend Project Meetings
- Perform Site Visits and High-level snagging
- Manage External Communication Related to Design
- Lead Design Team Meetings
- Contribute to Neko’s Location Design Playbook and Standards
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in architecture, design management, project management, or a related role within the construction industry.
- Strong design skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Broad knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g. Revit) and project management tools.
