The Company
Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of roofing products, supplying direct to Tier One and Tier Two main contractors, roofing contractors, facilities management providers, and commercial end users. They combine the stability of an established brand with the ambition of a business investing in growth, backed by a strong order book, a robust pipeline, and a reputation for quality and reliability across the sector.

The Territory
A key growth patch covering the whole of Scotland, with the Central Belt at its heart.

The Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will take full ownership of new business development across the territory, including:

  • Winning new accounts direct with main contractors, roofing contractors, FM providers, and commercial end users
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and specification through to negotiation and close
  • Building and maintaining a strong project pipeline, tracking schemes from planning through to delivery
  • Developing long-term relationships with buyers, quantity surveyors, site teams, and technical decision-makers
  • Working field-based with genuine autonomy and no micromanagement

The Person
We're less concerned with a perfect CV and more interested in the right attitude and potential. Full product training will be given, so what matters most is drive, character, work ethic and a willingness to learn. Some B2B field sales experience, ideally in construction, building products, or a related sector (roofing knowledge is a bonus, not a must). The hunger and confidence to open doors and win new business. A natural relationship-builder who can hold their own with buyers, contractors, and FM decision-makers. Self-motivated and disciplined, comfortable working independently and managing your own diary. An upbeat, resilient communicator credible at every level, from site to director. Full UK driving licence.
