Our client, a rapidly-growing provider of services to the global offshore energy sector, is seeking a highly organised Document Controller to join their team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the construction, operations, and maintenance phases of offshore wind farms.
Position Overview
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for carrying out the document control function and project administration, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all project-related documentation. Your role will involve compiling tender packages, assisting in QA/QC processes, and maintaining project files both electronically and in hard copy. You will liaise with clients and project managers to coordinate project requirements and maintain effective communication throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- Carry out document control function and project administration, supporting the administrative needs of the business
- Compile and prepare project work packs, including supervisor packs
- Control and issue all project-related documentation, ensuring consistency in presentation
- Generate and maintain Master Document Registers, logging and filing DPRs and purchase requisitions
- Liaise with clients during drafting of procedures and with project managers to coordinate project requirements
- Maintain project documentation and management system, organising and archiving files as required
- Assist in compiling tender packages, QA/QC of project documentation, and the procurement process
- Support the project team with ad-hoc duties as needed, maintaining effective communication throughout the company
Requirements
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong ability to interpret data and information, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Meticulous attention to detail and proofreading abilities
- Experience in data processing and document management
- Familiarity with document control procedures and systems is advantageous
- Previous experience in the offshore energy or related sectors is desirable
