ThinkBait, the innovative marketing hub for Neilson Financial Services, is seeking a performance-driven PPC Specialist who will be responsible for managing Google Search and Performance Max campaigns primarily in the UK market. Performance marketing drives our business, and PPC is a key component in our success. The PPC Specialist will play a key role in executing campaigns on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads across multiple brands in the UK, Canada, Australia and beyond. They are at home analysing and optimising big-budget campaign performance through a commercial lens and focusing their attention on the dial turners when faced with multiple competing priorities. Outside of the PPC platforms, they are comfortable communicating with BI, UX and web analytics specialists to get the job done.
Your Duties & Responsibilities
- Core responsibility is to create, track, analyse, and optimise pay-per-click campaigns (Google Search Ads, PMAx and Microsoft Ads) in various GEOs in a highly competitive PPC industry.
- Analyse campaign performance to identify optimisation opportunities to grow lead volume.
- Review and improve existing and write new ad copy to increase CTR, QS and ad relevancy.
- Manage ad copy changes through the Compliance sign-off process.
- Test & adopt new smart bidding strategies (Target IS, Target ROAS, TCPA, etc.) to support the business goals.
- Manage the execution of all campaigns, ensuring attention to detail and avoiding errors.
- Work with the wider marketing team to ensure coordination of campaign landing pages.
- Ensure high-quality data / BI is maintained through accurate campaign trafficking.
- Tracking daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Taking management through performance on a regular basis through various dashboards.
- Produce reports showing CTR, CPC, Lead CVR and other key metrics, highlighting areas for campaign improvement.
Your Knowledge & Skills
- Google Ads is essential, with Microsoft Ads beneficial.
- Working with Ad Editors to make bulk changes is required.
- Keyword research skills are required.
- Experience in Google Analytics or a similar web analytics platform.
- Highly proficient in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Use of competitor monitoring and business intelligence tools.
- Google Ads AI/automation/scripts experience is a nice-to-have.
Your Experience
- At least 3 years of hands-on PPC experience in a high-volume B2C or agency environment.
- Experience in the financial services industry is highly desired, but not a requirement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
