Job Description
An overview of the role:
- Learning how to read & understand structural engineer drawings
- Learning how to convert these drawings into 'working drawings' using AutoCAD Advanced Steel (CAD software designed specifically for the industry)
- Once approved by the client, your drawings are sent to the workshop where the steels are fabricated & sent out
- Liaising with customers & discussing projects
- Learning how to create estimates for projects
- Working as part of a small, friendly office team
- Pitching in with general day to day office tasks
Who we are looking for:
- Experience using CAD software is preferred however not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate
- Self motivated & enthusiastic
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills (both over the phone & in person)
- Ability to multitask & manage own workload
- Computer literate & confident in using Microsoft office
- An interest in learning a new skill set & trade
- A strong team player
Experience:
- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
