Job Description
An overview of the role:
- Delivering steel and goods on a HGV vehicle, ensuring the correct goods arrive in excellent condition and to scheduled times.
- Providing excellent customer service and being a good representative of the Company.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed daily (e.g. tacho, daily checks & delivery tickets).
- Carry out general maintenance to vehicles (e.g. greasing, fluid levels) and ensure cleanliness of vehicle.
- Support the operations of the branch yard when not needed for driving.
Who we are looking for:
- Friendly and positive attitude.
- Previous experience of driving an HGV is required.
- Up to date CPC qualification is required.
- Previous experience of working in the Construction/Steel industry is preferred but not essential.
- Previous forklift operation experience is preferred but not essential.
- All our lorries have Hiabs with full training given to the right candidate.
- Hiab licence preferred but not essential as training will be given.
