Reports to: Regional Development Manager
Key Relationships: Customers, Head office team
Purpose of the Role: The Drainage Engineer is responsible for attending domestic and commercial sites and investigating wastewater works, instigating and resolving issues for our customers, along with making appropriate recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with commercial and domestic customers on site.
- Customer service – engaging with customers in a professional manner.
- Investigating and diagnosing issues via site surveys.
- Advising customers as to solutions and implementing accordingly, this may include:
- Drain clearance
- De-scaling and root cutting
- Performing minor excavations and patch lining
- Preventative maintenance
This role profile provides an indication of the role's key accountabilities and is not intended to cover the whole scope of the role.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
Experience:
- Ideally 1 year's previous experience of working within the drainage sector
- Ideally 1 year's experience of plumbing
- Full clean UK driving license with flexibility to travel
- Able to use a mobile telephone (calls, photos, email and CRM Application etc.)
Skills / Knowledge:
- Ideally a background in drainage engineering.
- Ideally High-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A DBS check will be part of the on-boarding process
- To be able to work to an on-call rota providing a 24 hr service
