PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving brand growth through the acquisition of new customers, with a particular focus on national and key accounts.
This is a customer-facing role requiring the development of strong client relationships and the identification of opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
The role involves identifying opportunities to grow the key account portfolio and working collaboratively with the franchise network to support the growth of national and key accounts at both local and national levels.
Success in this position requires strong technical expertise within the drainage sector, commercial acumen, and the ability to convert opportunities into sustainable business growth.
A key focus will be maintaining and enhancing the brand's reputation for delivering outstanding customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Brand Leader to develop and shape strategies for new customer engagement and growth within national and key accounts.
- Conduct market research to identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging trends that support growth across the franchise network.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand service offerings that complement the brand and enhance customer value.
- Generate and drive new business opportunities, maintaining a robust and active sales pipeline.
- Promote the company, its services, and its brand within target markets.
- Develop, create, and present compelling proposals and solutions to secure new business.
- Generate qualified leads and establish relationships with key decision-makers using recognised sales methodologies, including cold calling and networking.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Marketing and Finance, to ensure customers receive a high level of support and service.
- Support franchisees in developing and managing sales pipelines for national account opportunities.
- Identify and report operational, performance, or compliance concerns across the network to the Brand Leader, helping to protect the brand's reputation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to the development of financial budgets and business plans.
- Drive a culture of accountability, urgency, and performance, supported by clear KPIs and measurable objectives.
