About You & the Role:
Neg Earth Lights have an opportunity for an experienced Goods In/Out Operative to join the Warehouse Team. The purpose of this role is to ensure that Neg Earth's equipment is processed and serviced to the highest and safest standard. You will be part of a professional operations team that ensures the equipment is ready for clients in agreed timescales, working alongside highly skilled technicians with some of the industries leading technology and brands. If you have great attention to detail and are resourceful in finding solutions then this role will provide you with the opportunity, training, and guidance to grow your knowledge to a high level of expertise. The smooth running of our operations is dependent upon a collaborative approach and teamwork. You must be able to demonstrate that you can follow set guidelines in addition and work with a diverse group of people. Open and thoughtful communication is key to ours and your success. Working safely within a warehouse environment is a key feature of the role. If you can remain calm and pragmatic under pressure, then this could be an exciting career move for you.
Your Duties:
- Instigating the loading and unloading of deliveries and collections
- Ensure all information regarding equipment in and out is processed appropriately
- Continuous liaison with all warehouse and office-based departments ensuring operational information is relayed in a timely manner
- Stock management of equipment using the company stock control system and handheld scanners, ensuring stock levels in the stock management systems accurately reflect the equipment held in the warehouse
- Maintain effective communication with the project team, warehouse departments, company drivers and external transportation companies to ensure the safe, efficient and timely transportation of equipment
- Manually loading and unloading stage lighting equipment - various size vehicles
- Picking, prepping and roller painting stage lighting trusses, metal work and woodwork
- Prepping and de-prepping stage lighting systems
- Assembling stage lighting metalwork and woodwork
- Cleaning cases, equipment, aluminium trusses
- Warehouse housekeeping
Standard Companywide Responsibilities:
- Any other duties as required/authorised by your line manager/reporting line
- Comply with all health and safety requirements
- Comply with all policies and procedures
- Ensuring work areas are kept in a clean and tidy manner
Requirements:
Essential Skills:- Competent in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and have proven experience of using and understanding a rental stock control system
- Good overall knowledge of stage lighting equipment or similar industry
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Current FLT Licence
- First Aid training
- Experience in preparation and repair of lighting and associated equipment
- Driving Licence
- IPAF
