The Data Warehouse / Database Engineer will design, build, and support the data layer required to transition reporting from Remedy to ServiceNow, enabling Business Objects to consume clean, performant, and reconciled datasets. The role focuses on bulk data ingestion, SQL development, schema design, and data validation, supporting a temporary dual‑dataset architecture across Remedy and ServiceNow.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data warehouse schema changes to support ServiceNow data
- Develop bulk‑load SQL scripts to ingest ServiceNow data via the SNOW Mid Server
- Support and validate mapped ServiceNow data files provided by CSMO teams
- Optimise SQL performance for reporting and contractual data volumes
- Maintain and enhance dual‑run data models for Remedy and ServiceNow
- Support Business Objects reporting requirements through stable, well‑structured schemas
- Perform data reconciliation and validation between Remedy and ServiceNow datasets
- Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and ingestion issues
- Produce technical documentation for data flows, schemas, and load processes
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Database / Data Warehouse Engineer
- Advanced SQL scripting skills
- Proven experience with Postgres and/or IBM Netezza
- Experience designing and maintaining enterprise data warehouse schemas
- Experience with batch ingestion and bulk‑load processes
- Strong data validation and reconciliation skills
- Experience supporting BI tools (e.g. Business Objects)
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with ServiceNow data extracts or APIs
- Exposure to Remedy ITSM datasets
