The Researcher role supports the delivery of senior executive and non-executive search assignments across the social housing sector. Working closely with Delivery Associates and Consultants, the role focuses on high-quality research, market mapping, and candidate identification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their executive search or recruitment career who is keen to develop strong research skills, sector knowledge, and an understanding of how senior level search assignments are delivered. The role offers structured learning, exposure to senior stakeholders, and a clear pathway for progression within the firm.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed market and organisational research to support retained search assignments.
- Map target organisations and leadership structures within the social housing sector.
- Identify potential candidates through desk-based research and direct search methods.
- Maintain and develop accurate talent maps and candidate records.
- Support the initial approach and engagement of prospective candidates.
- Coordinate introductory calls and support candidate communication as required.
- Assist with the preparation of candidate information and briefing materials.
- Work closely with Delivery Associates and Consultants to support live assignments.
- Ensure research outputs are accurate, well-structured, and delivered to agreed timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of research activity and candidate data, in line with GDPR and internal standards.
- Build an understanding of the social housing sector and its leadership landscape.
- Develop executive search research skills, including direct search methodologies.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Neemar’s candidate network.
- Experience in research, recruitment, executive search or a related role (sector experience beneficial but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to work.
- Curiosity, good judgment, and an interest in how organisations and leadership teams operate.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn within a small team environment.
