The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

Execute upstream oil & gas and Liquified Natural Gas ("LNG") transactions in line with Nedbank’s Energy Policy; Primary focus on structured debt financing solutions for clients operating in Africa and Europe, including but not limited to, Reserve-Based Lending ("RBL") and Pre-Export Finance ("PXF") facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist senior members of the OGF team in managing the existing OGF portfolio of oil & gas debt facilities including conducting regular reviews, attending client meetings, executing waiver and new client requests.
  • Assist senior members of the OGF team with growing Nedbank’s oil & gas franchise in order to meet budget & revenue targets.
  • To assist in the full transaction life-cycle including transaction assessment, financial modelling and analysis, credit paper preparation and negotiation of financing documentation.
  • Building & maintaining existing and new client relationships, and building Nedbank’s Oil & Gas franchise, primarily in support of senior members of the team.
  • Research and preparation of material for client and internal meetings.
  • Adherence to agreed business processes, risk management and regulatory requirements and legal best practice, including client onboarding processes.
  • Assist with marketing material and business reporting as required.
  • Meeting budget and revenue targets.
  • Act as a first line of defence for compliance, conduct and financial crime risks.

Minimum Experience Level

  • Financial modelling knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in using Excel, PowerPoint and Word and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Deal execution experience including credit paper preparation and other internal bank requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas industry and companies.
  • Transaction experience of debt finance structuring in the Oil and Gas or similar sector.
  • Existing network across the Oil & Gas industry including oil companies, other banks and advisors.
  • Language skills in relevant African and European jurisdictions.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the Energy Transition and alternative energy financing.
