Job Description

Please note, role can be Hybrid or Remote, subject to location.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter for a varied and challenging role working in a small team reporting to the Head of Recruitment.

In this role, you will be part of the wider HR team.

This role is a 12 Month Fixed-term contract.

You will be required to support the delivery of both permanent and contract resourcing activities for NEC Software Solutions, ensuring that a high-quality recruitment experience is delivered to internal stakeholders and candidates.

You will also be required to liaise with the business around future requirements, succession planning, market salary analysis, and resource allocation, depending on project volumes and time-scales.

This role will be particularly focused on recruiting for our Central Technology Team, amongst other roles.

Experience hiring in a Technical IT capacity is essential – including but not limited to the hiring of Architects, Developers, Cyber Security and ITIL individuals.

Experience with hiring for Technical Housing Professionals would also be extremely beneficial.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continually support the delivery of resourcing strategies to managers across all areas of NEC Software Solutions.

This is predominantly external recruitment with some potential for contractors.

  • Supporting internal recruitment, including cross-team moves and promotions.
  • Supporting hiring managers in recruitment best practices and providing hands-on support during the recruitment process.

Advising on attraction methods, advertising, and interviewing.

  • Managing a personal case-load of between 20 and 40 vacancies concurrently
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment processes from role approval through to contract generation.
  • Ensuring consistent and clear vacancies are posted to the careers pages of the intranet, internet, and 3rd party job boards
  • Support the development of a 'positive resourcing experience' for all involved parties – particularly ensuring candidates are kept warm and catered to throughout the process
  • Conduct screening calls with viable candidates, ensuring they are a suitable fit in terms of right to work, salary expectations, and technical skillset.
  • To support the development of direct sourcing techniques to attract candidates to opportunities. (Linked In & other social media)
  • Regular meeting attendance both in person and by conference call, to discuss and track the progress of specific recruitment projects with hiring managers.
  • Support colleagues in the recruitment team and cover absences and holidays
  • Conduct training sessions with hiring managers and the wider business where necessary on the use of our systems and our processes
  • Attend regular meetings with the wider HR team as well as frequent update meetings with the recruitment team.
  • Maintain good data integrity and administration tracking throughout the recruitment process on our Smart Recruiters ATS system.
  • Travel to other NEC UK Ltd sites as required for meetings/interviews. (Hemel Hempstead along with your most local office).

Qualifications

Essential

  • Significant recruitment background. Ideally, both agency and in-house experience.
  • Experience hiring Technical IT individuals such as Architects, DBAs, and Developers.
  • Competent web searching skills across multiple sites, in particular Boolean searching.
  • Experience conducting screening calls that both ensures candidate suitability and sell the benefits of the business.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, including via the phone, email and Teams Video, along with in person and the ability to build strong working relationships there.
  • Experience providing guidance and coaching to line managers on day-to-day recruitment matters and often enforcing best practice processes.
  • Solid knowledge of the full recruitment life cycle and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout
  • Good understanding/appreciation of recruitment within the context of employment law and best practice and an understanding of UK Recruitment Legislation
  • Previous ATS experience (Ideally Smart Recruiters)

Desirable

  • Experience working with Technical Housing Candidates
  • Previous Experience working in a Public Sector Supplier Business
  • Experience with Contractor Recruitment, and the pace and nature of this.
