Come join us and make a difference in the world! We currently require a Presales Consultant to join our established Revenues and Benefits, and Central Government (RBCG) Team. The successful candidate will bring their expertise in NEC’s Revenues and Benefits solutions to support presales activities, including demonstrations, presentations, and solution design. They will have experience with NEC’s Council Tax, Business Rates, Business Improvement Districts, and associated Citizen Access modules, and will be able to clearly articulate the value and functionality of these products to prospective clients. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to understand customer requirements, and the capability to translate these into tailored solutions. The candidate will work closely with the sales and consultancy teams to ensure successful engagement and will be keen to share and extend their knowledge within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales and BID teams in preparing tender responses and develop tailored presentations and proposals that address specific client needs and challenges.
- Conduct comprehensive software demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the key features and benefits of NEC Revenues and Benefits solutions.
- Maintain and test pre-sales databases for each software release, ensuring new functionality is incorporated into demonstrations.
- Configure, build, and showcase all relevant modules effectively.
- Deliver both high-level overviews and in-depth demonstrations of system functionality to support new business opportunities and account management.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external queries related to revenues and general system functionality.
- Build strong customer relationships to support sales growth and develop case studies.
- Collaborate with the product team to develop product roadmaps by providing market insights and client feedback.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to promote NEC solutions and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Expertise and extensive up-to-date knowledge in NEC Revenues (Council Tax and/or Non-Domestic Rates).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Flexibility and the need to meet deadlines, including occasional work outside standard hours.
- Ability to problem solve in demanding circumstances.
- Ability to work on own or part of a team and on multiple projects in parallel.
- Willingness to travel within the UK for client meetings and industry events.
- IRRV Qualification.
- Integration / Interfaces (with NEC R&B products).
- Knowledge of competitor products in the revenue and benefits sector.
- Previous experience in presales or consultancy roles within the public sector.
