These currently include the remote processing of revenues and benefits work, reviewing LA awarded discounts and provision of end to end managed services for individual departments. In line with the ever changing Public Sector drivers, NEC are constantly developing new services to offer LA’s the opportunity to maintain or improve the experience of their citizens whilst saving money against current operating costs.
The UK Public Sector is experiencing unprecedented challenges and as such NEC are consistently developing new services to meet our client needs. Our Sales Executives are expected to actively contribute to this process by both assisting in the development of the proposition before taking to market.
Main Duties
- Developing relationships with existing customers
- Identifying and developing relationships with new customers
- Leading client meetings
- Presenting NEC service offerings
- Identifying procurement options favourable to NEC
- Managing a sales pipeline sufficient to achieve target
- Managing the sales pipeline with accurate forecasting on both revenue and closure dates
- Managing closure plans where appropriate
- Presenting opportunities with sales strategies internally for test and improve
- Use of TAS technology to strategically manage a sales process
- Cross selling across the NEC product and service lines
- Negotiating and closing opportunities
- Providing quotes/proposals
- Completing internal approval paperwork/processes
- Updating internal database system
- Attending internal sales events and review sessions
- Attending industry events and conferences
- Liaising with NEC delivery operation to ensure smooth running of projects
- Achievement of financial targets
Qualifications
PERSONAL QUALITIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven Entitlement/Services sales experience
- Previous experience of selling into the Public Sector, local authorities and dealing with Senior Stakeholders at these organisations
- Good knowledge of Public Sector procurement and Government frameworks with experience managing tenders in this space
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to close business
- Demonstrate a range of influencing skills
- The ability to adhere to process and regularly hit tight timescales
- The ability to articulate what may be complex deals in a concise and clear fashion
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
None mandated, as specific previous experience and personal qualities are of most relevance. However, previous experience of effectively using a recognised CRM system and recognised Sales Management System (e.g. TAS, Miller Heiman) would be beneficial. Skills in the use of Excel and Powerpoint are also required.
