The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
To be part of a team responsible for providing Database and Application services to Local Government clients and managing associated 3rd parties providing technical support for applications supplied by NECSWS.
Responsibilities include delivering high-quality Incident, Change, and Problem Management services to a diverse client portfolio, adhering to contracted SLAs, and ensuring best-in-class service delivery. The primary focus will be on database/application administration and support as needed:
- Management of Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres Databases.
- Application administration.
- Providing DBA and application support services.
- Database and application setup, management, and support.
- Producing documentation and standard procedures.
- Problem management to eliminate recurring incidents.
- Ensuring compliance with NEC quality standards.
- Availability for out-of-hours and weekend work on a 7-days 1-in-4-week standby basis.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience with Oracle 12c/19c and Postgres 11+.
- Database administration, upgrades, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Experience in application services, upgrades, and administration.
- Understanding of platform technology.
- SQL Server 2012+ experience is beneficial.
- Eligibility for NPPV and Security Clearance.
- Analytical, organized, and flexible.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Stress tolerance and self-motivation.
- Oracle and SQL Server accreditation.
- Unix scripting skills.
- Awareness of technology beyond your immediate role.
- Familiarity with local government back-office applications.
