The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.

Due to strict security clearance requirements, we are only able to consider applicants that have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years or more. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead product strategy and evolution for our AI‑powered Redaction and Digital Evidence Management platforms, reporting to the Head of Product Management of the NEC Evidence and Insights product Pillar. The role is home based but will travel to NEC offices and customer sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain product strategy aligned to pillar and organisational objectives. Develop, own, and communicate the product roadmap and other standard collateral. Ensure alignment between customer needs, market trends, and technical capabilities. Contribute to wider portfolio strategy and planning.
  • Product Delivery & Execution: Translate strategy into well‑defined and commercially sound product backlogs and requirements. Maximise revenue opportunities through modular product design and upselling. Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the Public Safety marketing team. Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions. Prioritise features and enhancements based on value, risk, and opportunity. Track delivery progress and ensure alignment to agreed milestones. Support successful product launches and releases. Proactively manage the product lifecycle and communicate it regularly. Understand technology and keep abreast of the latest developments. Research competitors, relevant products, market trends and refine product strategy to achieve the best commercial outcome.
  • Customer Insight & Engagement: Engage regularly with customers to understand needs, challenges, and behaviours. Gather and analyse usage data and market trends. Translate insights into product improvements and innovation opportunities. Support and participate in user groups, customer workshops, and early engagement with sales opportunities.
  • Product Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Research competitors, relevant products, market trends and update product strategy continuously. Identify and develop product enhancement opportunities to grow revenues. Explore and incorporate emerging technologies, including AI where relevant. Develop business cases using structured approaches such as Lean Canvas and present proposals to governance forums.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with NEC Software Solutions colleagues to ensure product integration at process and technology levels. Support teams to articulate product expertise and value propositions.
  • Product Performance & Reporting: Monitor product performance using defined KPIs. Contribute to monthly reporting on roadmap progress, customer engagement, product health and risks. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date product documentation and collateral.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in a business or technical discipline.
  • Proven track record in Product Management in technology industries.
  • Desirable: experience in the Public Safety sector with proven ability to deliver technical solutions.
  • Ability to hold an audience with customers, technical people, partners and colleagues fully engaged and excited.
  • World‑class product insight with ideas that inform direction and prioritisation.
  • Commercially savvy; able to conduct accurate return on investment calculations to steer products and deliver desired commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent research skills to inform product strategies that lead to market leadership and commercial growth.
  • Decision maker; able to make tough decisions in the best interests of the product, market, customer and company.
