Job Description
A Field Service Engineer will install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all supported products in their assigned region, ensuring all service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled while exceeding customer expectations.
- Job Duties
- Attend incidents in a timely manner to meet SLAs and restore customer equipment to working condition.
- Perform scheduled maintenance: system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair (‘Break/Fix’) all products using basic test equipment within designated timeframes.
- Complete administrative duties: spare parts inventory up to TEA2, field activity reports, return material authorisations, expense reports within prescribed timeframes.
- Provide feedback to the team leader and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain regional responsibilities: respond to customer needs, maintain system configurations, keep customer contacts, establish rapport.
- Support other regional teams as part of a larger team.
- Participate in an on‑call rota to provide 24/7/365 support.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- IT literacy with experience as a Field Engineer.
- Excellent customer‑facing skills.
- Desktop: MS‑Windows 11 and 10.
- Server and storage: MS‑Windows 2016 and above.
- Active Directory, WSUS.
- MS‑Hyper V or knowledge of other virtualisation technologies.
- Networking skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Methodical, logical approach to problem solving.
- Training will be provided to expand knowledge and skill base.

- Experience of "ICCS" and/or working in a secure/control room environment.
- Working knowledge of radio (DMR/Tetra and/or Airwave).
- Networking – Cisco literate or qualified.
- Working knowledge of MS‑SQL.
