As a Digital Interview Recording Project Engineer, we need you to help us deliver our solutions into live operational service for our suite of products across our entire customer portfolio. Responsibilities include:

  • Build, commissioning and upgrades of our Digital Interview Recording product solutions into and within our customer environments.
  • Fault diagnosis of our product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels.
  • Create, review and update engineering documentation, for example workplans, work instructions and technical guides.
  • Work professionally in liaison with several internal teams to coordinate various activities and gather / provide information required to complete the tasks at hand.
  • Complete installations on customer sites as demand requires, therefore you will be expected to work from a variety of locations and travel should be expected, including overnight stays.
  • Accept a company car, within the allotted band for business travel.
  • Engage in extensive customer contact on both a technical and non‑technical level requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication and interaction / service.
  • Work both in a team and, potentially autonomously where projects dictate a limited engineering requirement.
  • Follow and adhere to NECSWS outlined process & procedures.
  • Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones.
  • Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken.
  • Promote a clean working environment and adhere to all Health and Safety practices, rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Educated to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience with a minimum of 2‑years proven experience in a comparable role/s.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Proven experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016+.
  • Proven experience deploying Microsoft Windows and server operating systems.
  • Proven experience deploying Microsoft Windows Updates (WSUS).
  • Working knowledge of hands‑on PC hardware construction and maintenance.
  • Understanding of IP networking.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.
  • Working at heights/ladders.

Desirable:

  • MS Business Applications experience including Excel, Visio, Word.
  • Experience of RJ45 cable construction and installation.
  • Experience of soldering cable and connectors.
  • Surveying of sites to identify suitable mounting surfaces and hazards.
  • Experience of mounting hardware, including drilling and fixing in compliance with appropriate safety standards.
  • Scripting experience / knowledge (Batch, PowerShell).
  • Experience of Windows Deployment Services/Toolkit.
  • Experience of audio and video equipment.
  • Good presentation skills.
