An opportunity has arisen to join the Central Mersey diabetic eye screening programme. We are looking for someone to join the screening team covering clinics throughout Warrington, St Helens, Halton & Knowsley. This role is for a 12 month fixed-term contract.
Our screeners are the heart of NEC Care, spending time on the ground and helping our patients. As a screener, you'll run local clinics for our patients and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy. We need you to be empathetic and able to talk to patients daily. You'll be supported undertaking your training, but once completed will be working largely unsupervised in a pressured environment, so a cool head is essential!
QualificationsThis is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join the healthcare sector, with little to no experience, who has a great sense of customer service and great interpersonal skills.

The Central Mersey (CM) DESP provides retinal screening clinics and image grading to people with diabetes across Warrington, Halton, St Helens & Knowsley. We are commissioned by Public Health England to provide retinal screening on behalf of the NHS and our service is compliant with the National Service Framework (NSF) and National Screening Committee (NSC) guidance, standards, and objectives.
