Position: User Researcher
Location: Hybrid – 50% studio attendance and occasional travel.
Salary: £39,000 – £45,000 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Plan, facilitate and lead user research activities across multidisciplinary teams.
- Champion user‑centred design (UCD) approach and progress inclusive, sustainable design practices.
- Support new business by spotting opportunities, aiding proposals and pitches.
- Collaborate with Service Design and Digital teams to develop user journeys, stories and needs.
- Produce high‑quality research findings, written reports and insights for stakeholders.
- Work with public‑sector clients to apply Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
- Manage your own time and budget on client and internal projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or professional experience relevant to User Research.
- Proven experience leading user research in multidisciplinary, public‑sector settings.
- Inclusive, ethical research practice with awareness of accessibility needs.
- Strong facilitation skills across interviews, usability testing, and co‑analysis sessions.
- Experience synthesising data into user journeys, stories and actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to share findings clearly.
- Self‑motivated and autonomous, with strong time‑management abilities.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC).
