As the primary contact and leader for the Metropolitan Police account, the Senior Client Director will leverage deep policing sector knowledge to grow and manage the relationship. The role ensures delivery of key programmes, drives new business opportunities, maintains revenue and margin targets, and positions NEC Software Solutions as a trusted strategic partner.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management – Build productive relationships with key personnel in the Met Police up to the Commissioner level, and with NEC sales support and service lines.
- Commercial & Contractual Management – Negotiate terms, lead procurement processes, and maintain a trusted partnership with NEC.
- Sales Opportunity Management – Identify opportunities, manage the pipeline, achieve quota levels for new and renewal business, and own all revenue streams within the account.
- Financial Ownership – Work with NEC colleagues to manage resources, costs, and deliver all revenue streams.
- Issue Resolution – Resolve delivery issues, identify related opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Positioning – Position NEC as the primary partner for the customer by understanding pain points and proposing solutions.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of the UK policing market, especially the Metropolitan Police and related stakeholders.
- Proven track record in business and account development across significant key customers.
- Demonstrable stakeholder, negotiation, and conflict‑management skills.
- Experience managing sales opportunities from inception to successful outcome.
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and thought‑leader reputation.
- First‑class decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Consistent over‑target achievement in a quota‑carrying role.
- Experience delivering complex programmes for public safety or mission‑critical customers.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication, presentation, and customer skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a team and meet deadlines.
- Competent knowledge of Police systems, services, and solutions.
