Location: We are happy to have shortlisted candidates work from a hybrid environment from any of the NECSWS offices across the UK if they live within 25 miles of an office. If your location is beyond 25 miles from an office, your work location would be home‑based.
Role: Experienced Revenues / Recovery Staff working within the busy area of the Revenues & Benefits department engaging in telephony and processing of all Council tax and Recovery changes, following established procedures and meeting KPI’s with excellent accuracy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deal directly with customers via letter, email, and telephone to ensure delivery against service contractual requirements, providing excellent customer service.
- Meet the required standards or deadlines while performing all duties with minimal support.
- Complete high workload consistently in line with the Right Time Indicator, the Right Benefit Indicator and subsidy regulations.
- Coach and mentor junior staff/colleagues.
- Share best practice with colleagues and lead update sessions for the wider team.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge through publications, briefing notes, bulletins and external training sessions to improve the team’s skills.
- Maintain a constructive and positive attitude, taking on additional duties when required and contribute ideas for improvements.
- Regularly exceed minimum contractual standards for productivity/accuracy.
Qualifications Skills Required:
- Proven problem‑solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Housing Benefits / Council Tax.
- Ability to deliver under pressure with a flexible approach to work.
- IT competence.
- Self‑motivated.
