This multinational industrial business services group operates in over 30 countries and has a global tax team of 4 people. It has a prime Central London HQ on the Thames where employees are based three days a week. Reporting to, and deputising for, the Head of Tax you will personally lead the UK corporate tax compliance and global tax reporting processes. Furthermore, you will support with international tax advisory, transfer pricing and any strategic tax projects including M&A activity.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead corporate tax compliance for all UK parent and subsidiary companies including preparation of corporation tax returns, managing payments on account, relationship with HMRC, preparation of Controlled Foreign Company review, (all with assistance from the Tax Manager).
- Lead Group tax reporting, including tax input into budgets, forecasts and year end reporting, preparation of disclosure for statutory reporting.
- Provide guidance to finance and business partners and develop a best-in-class approach.
- Assist with the provision of corporate tax advice to the commercial team including advising on Permanent Establishment status on an ad hoc basis.
- Assisting the head of tax with liaison with statutory auditors at interim and year end.
- Preparation of reports and studies for management attention with regard to UK and Group Tax.
- Directly supporting Head of Tax on all international tax matters, including transfer pricing, strategic projects and initiatives.
