Following a period of high performance, the Global Tax Team of 60+ professionals has steadily expanded with the creation of several new roles in London over the last few years.

This particular role is focused on high value and complex global tax advisory projects.

You will be responsible for

  • Tax advisory support on multi-jurisdictional transactions, restructures and strategic projects, including M&A.
  • Provision of clear, commercial tax advice across the full project lifecycle.
  • Assess and articulate the tax implications of transaction structures, financing arrangements, post-deal integration steps and cross-border operating models in a practical a manner.
  • Mobilise and lead project teams drawn from local tax teams, other Group Tax specialists and external advisers, ensuring the right expertise is brought in at the right time.
  • Identify, assess and communicate key tax risks arising from projects, transactions and business initiatives, ensuring these are understood early and managed appropriately.
  • Ensure advice and recommended approaches are aligned with Group's tax principles, governance requirements and broader policy framework.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders across Tax, Finance, Legal, Business Development and the broader business, becoming a go-to adviser on major initiatives and transactions.
  • Manage external advisers effectively — defining scope, directing inputs and challenging advice where needed to ensure high-quality, timely and commercially relevant support.

About you

  • ACA/CTA qualified with at least ten years post qualified experience
  • Previous in-house tax experience at a large multinational listed business
  • UK corporate tax trained, Big 4 or Top 10 sized firm
  • Proven international tax experience with exposure to transactions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex multinational environment
