Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic tax planning and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Management of all indirect tax compliance and reporting
  • Ongoing management and development of the tax risk register
  • Preparing and monitoring of tax reporting calendar
  • Provision of internal training and guidance to key stakeholders on direct and indirect taxes
  • Corporation tax compliance and reporting, including capital and R&D allowances
  • Maintaining all correspondence with HMRC and tax authorities overseas
  • Working closely with external tax advisors on specific queries and outsourced compliance

About you:

  • ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6-7 years experience as a dedicated tax professional
  • Must be UK trained in a Big 4 or Top 20 professional services firm
  • Previous in-house experience an advantage
  • Must be an inquisitive and independently minded tax professional
  • Excellent communication skills, must be able to explain complex matters in plain language
  • Must have extensive indirect tax experience
