As Tax Reporting Manager you will report to the Group Tax Reporting Director and be part of a 20+ person tax team. You support on all Group tax reporting matters.
To succeed in this role, you will be a UK corporate tax trained and qualified tax professional with at least 5 years of significant tax accounting and reporting experience. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with both tax and non-tax stakeholders on complex matters. You will ideally have worked in-house for a UK listed Group and played a significant role in the year-end tax reporting process.
Responsibilities:- Key contributor to year-end and interim tax reporting deliverables under IFRS, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all tax-related information.
- Supporting Tax Director on technical tax accounting and global tax transparency initiatives.
- Providing IAS 12 compliant tax accounting advice to the Group Tax team and wider finance teams.
- Effective tax rate (ETR) analysis/forecasting and supporting internal/external reporting requirements along with the Tax Director.
- Help to develop process improvements within the interim and year-end tax reporting processes.
- Delivery of cash tax reporting.
- Working to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (βSOXβ) internal control requirements across all Group level tax-related processes.
- Supporting the review and refinement of existing internal SOX controls and checklists to ensure adequate but not onerous SOX compliance.
- Supporting the broader tax team with the review of international tax packs during year-end.
- Preparation of tax-related disclosures in the annual report.
- Assisting with the review of year-end Pillar 2 calculations prepared by the group tax team and ensuring they are appropriately reflected in the notes to the annual report.
- Shared responsibility for Country-by-Country Reporting and Public CbCR, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent
- UK corporate tax trained, Big 4 or Top Tier
- Ability to work collaboratively in a complex multinational environment
- A minimum of 5 years + experience in corporate tax either in-house or professional services
- Solid understanding of international tax issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong command of written and verbal English
- Proven project management capability
- Flexible working with 1 day minimum per week in the office
