Nebraska Health Care Learning Center, an affiliate of the Nebraska Health Care Association, is a private post‑secondary college dedicated to helping individuals start or grow their careers in health care. We are seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach and guide students through the 76‑hour Basic Nursing Assistant and 40‑hour Medication Aide courses, helping them achieve successful completion.
Position Highlights
- Independent contractor role
- Flexible scheduling — day and/or evening hours available
- Teach an entire course or work PRN to cover a few days per month — your choice
Responsibilities
- Instruct students on the scope of practice and codes of conduct within their position in health care facilities
- Teach skill competencies
- Provide clinical experience
- Provide and maintain open lines of communication with students regarding progress
- Maintain a positive environment conducive to effective learning
- Commit to reliable attendance for all class and testing hours
- Evaluate student progress
- Partner closely with NHCLC’s administrator
- Assist in upholding NHCLC policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Nebraska
- 2‑3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year as a nurse in a long‑term care facility
- Previous teaching experience or training in teaching adults or in the supervision of nurse aides
