The International Business Development Team has exciting plans to continue both growing and consolidating NEBOSH’s international network of stakeholders and Learning Partners. We now seek to appoint an India/Pakistan Territory Lead to build upon existing NEBOSH connections and Business Development team activities in the territories

What you will be doing:

Working within International Business Development, the role will focus on developing and growing NEBOSH’s network of partners and stakeholders in the Indian and Pakistan territories. The role holder will build upon NEBOSH’s successes in India through further engagement of new sectors within Indian & Pakistani industry, growing connections with Indian government entities, and engaging with NEBOSH’s network of Learning Partners and Alumni.

The position holder will be expected to propose and coordinate regular in-person visits to different states in India, as well as producing insightful remote activities to promote NEBOSH and connect with new and existing stakeholders. For Pakistan, a program of remote activities will need to be developed and delivered and consolidated by periodic in-country visits.

The role holder will be an advocate for both territories internally, providing regular market insights for senior management and collaborating with the Product Development and Marketing teams, amongst others, to ensure optimum awareness NEBOSH courses and qualifications in the territories and amongst stakeholders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organising and administering fixed period catch-up meetings with all international NEBOSH Learning Partners
  • Organising and managing the timely delivery of market insights to Learning Partners.
  • Producing and communicating news of NEBOSH’s international activities across internal teams
  • Meeting with potential new Learning Partners and guiding them through the accreditation application process
  • Developing and managing customer issues for timely resolution and clear communication with all involved.
  • Working with different data sources to provide stakeholder and market insights
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with all main client decision makers/budget holders,
  • Developing opportunities to increase revenue for the team, with a focus on consolidating and widening our network
  • Working with our stakeholders and internal units to collaboratively develop proposals for new business
  • Have flexibility to travel within the assigned territory
  • A well-presented person, able to convey confidence, professionalism, and competence
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs
  • Developing business plans and executing marketing campaigns
  • Maintaining product knowledge and proposing new products

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Well-developed communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Experience of public speaking
  • Experience of International business travel and market visit preparation
  • Experience of travelling in India and or Pakistan advantageous but not essential
  • The ability to adapt and think ‘out of the box’
  • Excellent geographical knowledge and an interest in international current affairs
  • Knowledge and understanding of current economic trends and developments in India and Pakistan
  • Knowledge and experience of the vocational training sector both in the UK and internationally, desired but not essential
  • Knowledge of the occupational safety and health sector and its key stakeholders, desired but not essential
  • An understanding of different cultures and sensitivities
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales and performance targets
  • Demonstrable ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels
  • Good IT skills and the ability to use common MS applications, in particular data analysis and presentational tools
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in collaboration with internal NEBOSH teams
  • Experience in a professional sales role is desirable but not essential
  • Language skills are desirable but not essential

OTHER

The role will involve domestic/international travel and applicants must be able to travel to both India and Pakistan.
