NEBOSH’s Ethical Practice team plays a critical role in protecting the integrity of our qualifications and assessments by carrying out activities to detect and deter malpractice. We are currently looking for an Officer to join our administration team and help us protect the integrity of NEBOSH’s qualifications by detecting, investigating, and deterring malpractice.
The Officer (Ethical Practice Admin) is responsible for carrying out ethical practice administrative support processes in connection with malpractice allegations, investigations, enquiries, and closing interviews, to ensure that ethical practice tasks are completed accurately and to service standards.
Key accountabilities:
- Accurately recording all malpractice/maladministration/closing interview incidents.
- Opening, coordinating, and closing malpractice investigations in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Coordinating high-volume investigations generated by NEBOSH’s anti-plagiarism software, and performing clerical checks as required.
- Communicating with Learning Partners and learners in relation to ethical practice investigations and outcomes, including the production of bespoke letters/emails.
- Working collaboratively with the investigatory team to ensure that reviews are carried out before results are issued.
- Providing accurate responses to ethical practice enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Gathering and checking learner and Learning Partner data, which may include some desk-based research in support of investigations.
- Accurately processing personal and sensitive information in line with current GDPR legislation.
- Identifying efficiencies and process improvements and helping to implement these.
Key skills and attributes:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven experience in an administrative role.
- Experience of producing high quality formal communications to customers.
- Experience of accurately processing large volumes of data, at pace.
- Experience of working with procedures/working in a regulated environment.
- Proficient in the main Microsoft software packages: Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, across multiple platforms.
- Ability to prioritise/organise own workload, and remain calm during busy periods.
- Ability to develop proficiency in NEBOSH’s assessment-related systems.
- Ability to make decisions within sphere of authority.
Working week: 35 hours Monday – Friday
Work base: NEBOSH’s office in Leicestershire with opportunities for hybrid working subject to business needs.
Up to £27,507.34 per annum.
