What is the role?
As a Data Scientist, you'll play a pivotal role in our mission‑driven journey. Reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence, your responsibilities will include:
- Programming: High proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Databricks, Python, R and SQL.
- Statistics and Probability: Understanding of statistical concepts.
- Data Wrangling and Database Management: Skills in data cleaning, transformation, and database handling.
- Machine Learning and Deep Learning: Familiarity with relevant techniques and frameworks.
- Data Visualization: Ability to communicate findings effectively through the use of Power BI, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Advanced skills in managing & manipulating databases, both relational & non‑relational.
- Proficiency in data lineage techniques to track data origin, movement & transformation across systems.
- Familiarity with various data architecture frameworks & their implementation in enterprise environments.
- Effective Business Stakeholder Management at All Levels: Engaging with diverse business teams to offer valuable insights into future performance, collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels to drive data‑driven decision‑making, and possessing strong interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in managing expectations & delivering results that align with business objectives.
- Collaboration with IT Colleagues & Subject Matter Experts: Proven ability to work closely with IT teams & experts to understand & solve technical challenges, facilitating cross‑functional teams to gather requirements & develop IT solutions, and translating business needs into technical requirements & vice versa.
