Role Summary

This role demands a balanced approach to managing both contentious and non-contentious matters. The successful candidate will manage their own client base and caseloads with responsibilities that include:

  • Providing day-to-day employment law advice on both contentious and non-contentious issues
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships and providing tailored advice to meet client needs
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment, employee handbooks, and day-to-day documents such as disciplinary invites and outcome letters
  • Advising on TUPE, redundancy, discrimination, unfair dismissal, and other employment matters

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Lawyer (CILEx) with experience in Employment Law, particularly in managing employment tribunal litigation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of managing a diverse workload and meeting deadlines
  • Team-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote or hybrid setting
