We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Auditor. Internal Audit are a highly respected in-house team providing internal audit, counter fraud, investigation and advisory services to Neath Port Talbot Council. As an Auditor, you will assist in the provision of the Council’s Internal Audit Plan by undertaking a range of risk-based internal audit activity (both financial and non-financial) as directed by the Audit Manager. No week within Internal Audit is ever the same! The Auditor role will give you the opportunity to make a real difference by providing advice to management from across the Council, through making recommendations to improve governance, risk management and control frameworks.
About you
- Experience of working in Internal Audit and delivery of risk-based internal audits;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- The ability to engage with and provide high quality advice to staff at all levels of the Council in a professional manner.
Ideally you will be CIA or AAT qualified or actively working towards either of these qualifications.
