Social Worker – Childcare Disability Team

Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role, providing flexibility to work from home and various Council workplaces.

About the role:
We have an opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Childcare Disability Team, offering services to disabled children and their families from referral to transition support. This includes work with Children in Need of a Care and Support Plan, Care Experienced Children, Child Protection, and Court cases.

The Childcare Disability Team is well-established with high morale and low staff turnover. It comprises experienced Social Workers, Practice Support Workers, Portage Workers, and Administrative Support. The successful applicant will benefit from established management structures, regular supervision (minimum every 28 days), and ongoing training opportunities. Neath Port Talbot Children’s Services boasts one of the lowest caseloads in Wales, enabling high-quality support. We promote flexible working to support work/life balance.
