About the role:
This is an exciting time to work within the Leisure, Tourism, Heritage and Culture Department within Neath Port Talbot Council. As a result of the creation of the Neath Port Talbot Culture Strategy there is a renewed focus on investing in heritage, culture, tourism, sport and the creative arts alongside our partners and stakeholders in the area.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the post of Culture Strategy Officer. The role is funded by Welsh Government\βs Priorities for Culture Fund.
The postholder will take a strategic lead on the delivery of the Neath Port Talbot Culture Strategy and will develop a partnership approach with the public, private and voluntary sectors. The post will be responsible for developing a governance structure, securing additional funding and guiding partners to deliver the ambitious agenda and vision set by the Culture Strategy.
About you:
Do you have:
- Practical experience of developing governance models and setting up associated management systems within a context relevant to the role.
- Extensive experience of working in partnership and coordinating a diverse group of people.
- Experience of managing projects and relationships with stakeholders to achieve common aims.
- Experience of delivering, monitoring and setting project targets.
- Successful track record of fundraising to support the delivery of cultural initiatives.
- Experience of running externally funded projects.
