The Governors of Rhos Primary School wish to appoint a responsible, reliable person for the post of Teaching Assistant.
The post will require the successful applicant to plan and deliver to classes across the school.
The successful candidate will
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities in line with the Teaching Assistant Standards in Wales.
- Support pupils’ learning effectively, including individuals, small groups and whole classes.
- Promote inclusive practice, ensuring all learners are engaged, supported and challenged.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to support pupils’ wellbeing and engagement.
- Reflect on their own practice and contribute to continuous professional development.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider school community.
- Attend and contribute to weekly after school staff meetings (ADDS)
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
We are looking for someone who
- Has relevant qualifications and/or experience in a school setting.
- Is organised, flexible and proactive.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
- Must be qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a related childcare discipline.
