The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

The role is varied and rewarding and may include

  • Supporting the case management and safeguarding process.
  • Undertaking direct work with children, young people and families.
  • Taking and responding to telephone contacts.
  • Transporting children and families when required.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case recordings.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and discussions.
  • Supporting outcome-focused planning for children and young people.
  • Liaising with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Working in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures and best practice guidance.

Flexibility is essential in this role, as there may be occasions where you will be required to work outside core business hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the children, young people and families you are supporting.

Flexible working time arrangements, including TOIL, will be offered if this occurs.

About You

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience and/or knowledge of the Neath Port Talbot Children's Services model of practice.
  • Has experience of working directly with children, young people and families.
  • Can build positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
  • Is organised, adaptable and able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Shares our commitment to strengths-based and child-centred practice.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must hold

  • A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including English or Welsh and Mathematics.
