We are currently looking for a Transport Strategy Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of Transport Strategies and Policiesfor Neath Port Talbot Council and the Wider South West Wales Region. Including the preparation of an Active Travel Delivery Plan for Neath Port Talbot Council.
The post holder will work with the Programme and Commissioning Manager, to ensure the Council complies with the requirements of the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013. They will be responsible for the preparation and review Neath Port Talbots Active Travel Network Map and the preparation of regular progress reports.
Responsibilities will also include the management of the Active Travel programme for the delivery of Active Travel infrastructure in Neath Port Talbot Council. Including assessment of potential active travel routes and project management of the development and implementation of walking and cycling routes and facilities.
The post holder will assist in the preparation of funding applications for transport projects and other initiatives.
The post requires a minimum of a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as transport planning/engineering/ environmental.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh, applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
