The Role
We’re a small firm with big ambitions looking for a go-getting, experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join our rapidly growing team. If you’re concerned about being a small cog in the big wheel of large law firms, and you’d like to step up and have the ability to manage your own career in employment law, then this is the job for you. You will manage your own caseload of employment law matters, with a strong focus on litigation. This will include advising on a wide range of workplace issues and supporting clients through all stages up to and including the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on strategic workplace issues and employee relations disputes.
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice to clients.
- Managing a varied caseload of employment law issues including tribunal matters from initial instruction through to hearing.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Conducting advocacy (where appropriate) or instructing counsel.
About You
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
- At least 1 year PQE with a reputable/well-established employment law firm.
- Competent in advising on a wide range of workplace issues.
- Experience in managing Employment Tribunal litigation.
- Confident managing your own caseload with available supervision.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
