Central Walker Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to support pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively supervise and educate whole classes across Key Stages 1 and 2 during short‑term absence of teachers.
  • Understand how young people learn, including awareness of the National Curriculum, effective teaching principles and assessment strategies.
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons clearly and enthusiastically, ensuring pupils understand tasks.
  • Apply effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Work well as part of a team, committed to the wellbeing and care of all children.

This is a permanent, term‑time only post plus 5 training days, working 34.5 hours per week.

Working hours

  • Monday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
  • Tuesday & Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday 8:30 am – 3:45 pm
  • Friday 8:30 am – 3:15 pm
