Nearwater Capital is a rapidly growing and innovative specialty-finance company headquartered in New York with global operations and client base. Established in 2017, Nearwater has distinguished itself as a leader in delivering thoughtful, regulatory solutions-based financing to some of the largest financial institutions and financial services firms in the world. Nearwater’s Risk Retention business is focused on providing asset-backed securitization sponsors (ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS) with financing for their retained risk retention interests in compliance with Dodd-Frank and EU/UK Securitization Regulation requirements. As part of its strategic growth in Europe, Nearwater is expanding its London office. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and self-starting Analyst / Associate to contribute to the expansion of Nearwater’s Risk Retention business.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Risk Retention team in executing financing transactions across multiple securitization asset classes, including ABS, CLO, CMBS and RMBS.
- Preparing high-quality marketing materials and presentation decks for meetings with global investment and private equity firms, managers and sponsors.
- Collaborating with the legal and operations teams to deliver a smooth execution experience to the client.
- Monitoring the securitization market and providing timely insights to the team.
- Developing cash flow models to evaluate financing terms and structural features of the financing facilities for clients to review and base their decision-making process.
- Participating in client discussions to support the origination process and to contribute to the ongoing client coverage effort.
Skills:
- Finance, Economics, or Business Management are preferred major fields.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities.
- Solid work ethic and passion to learn and grow.
- Must be a self-starter and have ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and work with numerous colleagues across London, New York and Dublin.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 - 4 years of relevant experience in structured finance and/or securitized products.
