Python Developer (Manchester)

I’m hiring for a Python developer to join a cracking team at one of our key clients – a Manchester-based tech business that’s gone from strength to strength. They’ve got teams in the EU and US, and after successfully baking AI/ML into their products, they’re now looking for a solid backend engineer to help take things to the next level.

The Role in a Nutshell:

We need someone who lives and breathes Python, can write proper testable code (Pytest/PyUnit is your bread and butter), and fancies picking up some infrastructure skills along the way. It’s not a DevOps role – we’re after a developer first and foremost – but if you’ve tinkered with Terraform or fancy learning, even better.

Must-Haves:

✔ Strong, modern Python skills (backend focus)

✔ Hands-on with AWS (S3, CI/CD – the usual suspects)

✔ Proper testing chops (Pytest/PyUnit or similar)

✔ Keen to mentor junior devs on good practice

Nice-to-Haves:

◼ Some Terraform/IaC knowledge (we can help with this)

◼ Played with ML tools (TensorFlow/PyTorch)

◼ E-commerce/retail background (not essential)
