We’re working with a UK manufacturing & retail business renowned for its longevity, innovation, and investment in digital transformation. With a proud heritage and an ambitious future, the business is scaling its technology capability to better serve retail, B2B, and internal functions. This growth has led to the creation of a key leadership role within their IT function.
The Head of Technology Delivery will lead a newly created PMO & IT Projects function, overseeing a wide-ranging portfolio of digital and infrastructure initiatives. You’ll be tasked with building lightweight governance, shaping delivery frameworks, and embedding a performance culture across the team. Crucially, this is also a people-first leadership role — influencing the wider organisation and transforming how tech enables the business.
The Head of Technology Delivery will:
- Lead the delivery of IT change across applications and infrastructure, aligned to strategic priorities
- Build and own a fit-for-purpose PMO function including standards, reporting and resource planning
- Ensure high-quality delivery, with robust readiness planning and strong post-launch support
- Drive stakeholder engagement, leading change campaigns and simplifying technical communications
- Champion delivery accountability across partners, vendors, and internal teams
You Will Need:
- Proven experience delivering digital transformation in mid–large enterprises
- Strong grasp of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project methodologies
- Hands‑on experience leading PMO functions and managing portfolio-level resources
- Leadership track record with line management responsibility for managers or senior leads
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and simplify for exec-level audiences
Why You’ll Love It:
- Newly created leadership role with genuine scope to shape delivery culture
- Direct influence on transformation outcomes with full visibility at board level
- A collaborative, non-hierarchical culture open to fresh thinking and better ways of working
- Clear career progression as part of an evolving, digitally enabled IT function
