I’m working with a well-funded, tech4good. They’ve been operating in the UK for a number of years and have genuinely gone from strength to strength in terms of their offering, product, and team! Their products are predominantly cloud-based, and now they’re scaling up with two new Developer hires to help build out core features, improve client tools, and ship better customer-facing services.
You’ll be using .net and JS in a clean, test-driven environment working alongside a really friendly engineering team that values flexibility, impact, and clean code over micromanagement. The team is friendly, sociable, and extremely competent. For this role they’d love to find people who are energised by being in the office in person and genuinely want to learn and develop as they have strong career pathways available.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working across both back-end (.net) and front-end (they're moving into Vue but happy for candidates to come in with knowledge of React / Angular as well who are happy to transfer their skills)
- Designing and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices
- Writing clean, well-tested code following DDD principles (They don't have a dedicated QA service so engineers are expected to complete their own (with help if needed))
- Pairing with teammates and contributing to sprints / ceremonies / stand-ups etc
- Building tools built for volume and scale
What they’re looking for:
- Solid commercial experience with .net and JS
- Good understanding of CI/CD and automated testing
- Experience with SQL, REST APIs (particularly RestAPI design)
- Experience with Azure (any Functions / Service Bus / Event Hub exp is excellent)
Why it’s worth a look:
- Strong support team and great continued learning opportunities
- Scale-up feel with the security of an established product
- Genuinely collaborative, no-blame engineering culture
- Work that feels impactful and purpose-driven
Unfortunately, this role cannot offer visa / sponsorship now or in the future.
