Role Overview
The Head of Engineering will own both the technical direction and team development — combining strategic oversight with hands‑on impact. You’ll shape engineering culture, delivery practices, and future scaling, while still staying close to the code.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a 6‑person onshore/offshore engineering team
- Set technical strategy and evolve a scalable, secure architecture.
- Drive delivery quality with improvements across CI/CD, DevOps, testing and reviews.
- Partner with the CEO and Product to align tech with commercial goals.
- Remain hands‑on with code, unblock challenges, and maintain high standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Hands‑on experience in modern backend environments (e.g., cloud‑native APIs) with AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
- Prior experience managing distributed teams.
- Strength in architecture, system design and scaling strategies.
- Excellent communication: you’ll be working closely with execs and stakeholders.
