The Head of Engineering will own both the technical direction and team development — combining strategic oversight with hands-on impact. You’ll shape engineering culture, delivery practices, and future scaling, while still staying close to the code.
The Head of Engineering will:
- Lead and grow a 6-person onshore/offshore engineering team
- Set technical strategy and evolve a scalable, secure architecture.
- Familiar with Typescript, JavaScript & React full stack engineering environments.
- Drive delivery quality with improvements across CI/CD, DevOps, testing and reviews
- Partner with the CEO and Product to align tech with commercial goals
- Remain hands-on with code, unblock challenges, and maintain high standards
You will need:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities
- Hands-on experience in modern backend environments (e.g., cloud-native APIs) with AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
- Prior experience managing distributed teams
- Strength in architecture, system design and scaling strategies
- Excellent communication: you’ll be working closely with execs and stakeholders
