Software Architect, Lancashire (hybrid), £70,000 – 80,000

Are you a Software Architect / Tech Lead looking for an exciting challenge? Our client is on the lookout for a hands-on software leader to drive the technical direction of their web applications and lead a new software development team. This role is with a successful consumer services company who have a global reach.

The new Architect / tech Lead will play a pivotal role in overseeing the redesign and rebuild of the front-end and middleware infrastructure. You will work closely with the Product Owner to align technical solutions with business objectives while mentoring and guiding developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications.

Experience needed:

  • Proven track record as a Solution Architect, Tech Lead, or similar role.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Expertise in front-end development (React & Next.js ) and back-end development (Laravel & MySQL ).
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and DevOps practices , familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in line management and team development.

  • Leading the design and implementation of the technical architecture.
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions.
  • Providing hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the development team.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable code.
  • Conducting code reviews and offering constructive feedback.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Managing and supporting the professional growth of team members (depending on experience).
  • Facilitating communication between developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
